At this time of year, especially since we’ve just passed the test of all new relationships (Valentine’s Day) many couples are searching for things to do.
I have to say, I’m a very good planner, and that involves me planning things for my boyfriend and I to do. These ideas aren’t only for couples though! They’re also really fun activities to simply do with your friends when you’ve run out of ideas.
Here are some fun indoor dates that will keep you warm while we wait for the weather to do the same!
An Escape Room
Escape rooms are a fun activity for anywhere from 2 to 10 people! They usually involve a spooky setting like a jail cell or a haunted house where you’re trapped (only sometimes literally) inside and have to solve your way out! An escape room I went to a couple years ago was called Riddle Room and I loved it!
Karaoke
Karaoke is a great way to just let yourself go and just focus on having a great time! Whether it’s with your partner or your friends, or you’re singing solo or as a group, you can definitely sing your heart out. I have yet to try karaoke myself but Bar + Karaoke near Yonge and Dundas seems like a great choice!
An Art Gallery or Museum
I am a HUGE art and museum fan, and while some people will call it boring, I think there’s so much comfort in going somewhere relaxing and leisurely where you can just take all the time in the world to appreciate art or see new things with a loved one. Even better, The Art Gallery of Ontario has free admission on Wednesday nights from 6-9pm!
An Arcade
It’s been forever since I’ve been to an arcade, but every time I do they bring me right back to childhood. If you’re in need of a flashback, right in the heart of the entertainment district is the Rec Room, an amazing arcade where you can also grab dinner with bae or drinks with friends, as late as 2am!
A Board Game Cafe
Board game cafes are a great environment to be in. Games are always fun, you can eat while you play, and have a great time cozied up somewhere warm. Snakes and Lattes is my personal favourite in the city. They have many locations and operate late hours on Fridays and Saturdays, so you can head there and spend a late night out playing games!
