The Only Kind of Men I Want …. Is RA-MEN!

Hi everyone! Wow, so this is my first post and of course, it’s about food! What else would it be about, am I right?

Let’s talk about ramen…. (College student prices of course) 😀 Thanks to Momofuku Ando, we have our beloved instant noodle that is loved by university students. Who doesn’t love something that is so affordable and so easy to make?!

Today, I wanted to share some recipes to spice up your boring old ramen dish. These recipes are created by your fellow classmates and I thought it would be a fun idea to share them so that everyone may be able to indulge in it.

Recipe #1 : Egg-celent by Tanmay

Ingredients:

  • Maggi noodles, Koka noodles or Mama noodles
  • An egg
  • Cheese

Process:

I usually add an egg once the noodles are done and then fold the noodles over the egg (so that it becomes “poached”). Then sprinkle on some grated cheese.

^Voila! Simple as that 🙂

Recipe #2 : Ramen Dump by Anonymous

Ingredients:

  • Samyang, Shin ramen, or Nissan ramen.
  • Whatever is in your fridge

Process:

*Add whatever you can find in the fridge.*

I usually include some fish balls, a sausage, a fried egg, and some cabbages. If I’m cooking Shin ramen, I’d also add a slice of cheese in. If I cook Samyang’s fire noodles, I would only add a few rice cakes in and then sprinkle some shredded cheddar over the bowl of cooked noodles and heat it in the microwave.

^Food overload — now that’s the right way to do it

Recipe #3: Gourmet Ramen by Anonymous

Ingredients:

  • Top Ramen Original Noodles
  • SoyVay Teriyaki Marinade
  • McCormick seasoning
  • Chives
  • Garlic/onion powder
  • Veggies of your choice

Process:

I add a generous amount of SoyVay teriyaki marinade, a sprinkle of fresh chives, half a handful of sprouts or thinly sliced carrot, a spoonful of sweet corn , two sprinkles of garlic powder, onion powder and a pinch of asian five spice.

^What a masterpiece!

Recipe #4: Simply Good by Anonymous

Ingredients:

  • Ramen of your choice
  • Sesame Oil
  • Cheese

Process:

I add 1/2 teaspoon of Sesame oil into my pot, and/or add a slice or 2 of cheese for an extra kick. ^Keep simple things simple 😀

Recipe #5: Spice Lover by Aleeza

Recipe #5: Spice Lover by Aleeza

Ingredients:

  • Mr. Noodles Ramen
  • Nandos Extra Hot Sauce

Process:

After the noodles are ready, I douse the amount of hot sauce I want and it’s usually a lot because I love spicy foods.

^Now that’s… hot > <
