The Manalytics Podcast centres around a roundtable discussion with four first-year Sport Media students: Drew Hardiman, Raine Hernandez, Simon Kishchuk, and Cameron Tobin. Each week the podcast will take a comedic approach to the pressing topics in the sporting world. Each of the hosts has a different sports background. Drew bleeds red, white, and blue of his hometown Montreal Canadiens, while Raine is all over the place with his favourite teams. The Mississauga, Ontario native is a fan of the Michigan Wolverines, Chicago Blackhawks, the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, and Cardiff City. Simon had to choose his teams based on everything but location. Coming from Whitehorse, Yukon, he supports Chelsea FC and Toronto Raptors, and is the newest die hard fan San Diego Fleet. Cameron is from Newfoundland and cheers for all Toronto teams as well as the Carolina Panthers and Salt Lake Stallions of our new favourite league, the AAF. In hopes of veering slightly away from the number-savvy era we live in today, The Manalytics Podcast will be an educated podcast that everyone can enjoy. Each show will cover headlines, stories, a revisionist history segment, a monologue from each host, a fake prop bet and everything in between about sports leagues you didn’t even know you cared about.
