Two sport media students, Monte Safarian and Haig Artounian, are the hosts of the sports podcast “Net to Net.” We dive into the world of basketball and soccer, but also highlight the harmful effects of societal issues such as mental health on these athletes. The goal of our podcast is to create an entertaining atmosphere by covering the top basketball/soccer stories, while also diving into the human side of athletes and exploring important societal issues. By exploring the overlap between sports and society, our viewers can gain a holistic understanding of the sports world and apply these ideas to their own lives.
