3 Souffle Pancake Places in Toronto

Japanese jiggly and airy souffle pancakes, simply irresistible

HANABUSA CAFE

77 Kensington Ave, Toronto, ON M5T 2K2

Hanabusa is so far my top favourite place in Toronto for souffle pancakes. Over 7 different flavours of souffle pancakes to choose from, with special seasonal flavours too! My friend and I tried the Custard Pancake and Earl Grey Salted Caramel Pancake. We loved the Custard one! 3 airy slices of pancakes stacked and topped with caramelized creamy custard, then beautifully plated with fresh fruits and whipping cream. Cloud-like softness from the souffle pancake melts in my mouth, andlove how Hanabusa keeps the richness of flavour while balancing a nice subtle sweetness. Even though their pancakes are light and airy, but they actually turn out to be super stomach-filling! Located right inside Kensington Market, super cute interior with lots of seating space available.

GAZO

674 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M4Y 2A6

Less than 5 minutes away from Wellesley TTC station. They have 4 different types souffle pancakes flavour and all sorts of hand-crafted drinks. My personal favourite is without-a-doubt their Cheese Mousse Boba Souffle! Their cheese cream is the creamiest cream ever with a touch of saltiness, and compliments the sweetness from the chewy brown sugar tapioca perfectly. Gazo makes the souffle pancakes fresh by order, so it’s usually around a 15 minutes wait. BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT 🙂

FUWA FUWA

408 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 2N5

They have 2 locations in Toronto, one is downtown (between Bathurst and Spadina TTC station), while the other is midtown (by Eglinton station). Fuwa Fuwa means airy and fluffy in japanese, and their pancakes are true to the name super soft and crazily fluffy. They have a pancake flavour for everyone, 8 different delicious flavours like Nutella Banana, Matcha and Red Bed, Blueberry Cheese Cake, and more. I tried the raspberry chocolate lava one, and it’s also decorated beautifully with the fresh toppings, creamy whip, and their pancakes are pillow-like soft. The best thing is cutting into the melty lava of milk chocolate, so good and just can’t get enough of it!! Fuwa Fuwa also serves japanese savoury options of their souffle pancakes too.
